This module has helped me think about student-centered assessment in the following ways….
Giving students a chance to know if they actually know it or don't increases their learning. It makes them responsible for their learning. It's made me do more self-checks on learning with thumbs up, to the side, or down.

Module 4
How can technology be used most effectively to support and assess student learning?
Using technology like emails and blogs that require students to write their thoughts can give the teacher a way to check for understanding. Do they completely understand the concept? Does the teacher need to reteach?

Module 3
This module has helped me think about the impact of the Internet on my student's learning in the following ways...
There is so many resources on the World Wide Wb, finding ones appropriate for kids can be difficult. It is necessary as a teacher to view sites beforehand and to not just let the kids have at it. Giving students a direction on the web will reduce inappropriate use.
Choosing the right kind of online collaborative web sites will keep the learning flowing.
I'd really like to try email as a way to improve writing skils. I'd also like to try blogging as a way a formative assessment.

Module 2
This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQ's, or formative assessmet in the following ways....
We connected many standards from content to technolgy when designing our project.
I struggled at first with the difference of the Essential Question and Unit questions. The practice helped me.
Using formative assessment helps me to see if the students are learning what they should learn and tell me if I need to re-teach. I do this to some extent during reading and math when I check work before going on. I could do this more often.

Instructional Designer
This module has made me think about my role as an instructional designer in the following ways….
I need to make the students have a more active role in what they are learning.
I need to connect tasks/skills to everyday life.
I need to give them less info and let them discover more.
As I lesson plan as I should think how I can make the content higher level thinking and rigorous.
